February 17th, 2022, 10:37 AM

According to regulatory filings, Joshua P. Gully, was permitted to resign after allegations related to miscoding of trades. Gully served the accounts of senior executives at Morgan Stanley, including CEO James Gorman. Gully departed as part of a "mutually agreed retirement following representative's use of production numbers that were inconsistent with agreement with another representative."

According to AdvisorHub, Gully's team oversaw more than $4.8 billion in assets. The team is one of the highest profile departures linked to Morgan Stanley's long-time investigation of account coding issues on inherited accounts. The remaining team members still are employed at Morgan Stanley as the Patrick Schwarz Group.

Gully is one of the few advisors who has been permitted to resign, as opposed to being discharged.
