Edward Jones & Co. is piloting a new investment platform, Edward Jones Digital Managed Solutions, as part of its effort to modernize its traditional advisory model.
AdvisorHub reports that the mostly automated platform combines digital investment management with access to remote advisors. It requires a minimum investment of $5,000 and charges a 0.65 percent annual fee. Edward Jones has staffed the program with newly hired advisors who receive a salary and merit-based discretionary bonuses.
According to AdvisorHub, the brokerage plans to roll out the platform in August 2026 and expects to make it broadly available by mid-2027.
If Edward Jones positions the platform as an entry point that can eventually connect clients with a traditional advisor, the firm could use its existing distribution network as an advantage. However, the strategy could create challenges if advisors view the platform as competing with their existing client relationships.
According to AdvisorHub, UBS previously launched Advice Advantage as a digital entry point for affluent clients but did not continue the service as a standalone offering.
