Edward Jones has introduced a team approach allowing experienced advisors to co-locate and share clients.
As reported by WealthManagment.com, Edward Jones now is testing a new team model targeted at attracting seasoned advisors from outside the firm who are nearing retirement and seeking a transition for their practices.
David Chubak, Head of U.S. Business Unit and Branch Development at Edward Jones, states that the firm aims to tap into a substantial pool of advisors who may have yet to consider joining the company due to the absence of a team structure. The plan involves pairing those experienced advisors with younger counterparts in a collaborative group setup.
The experienced advisors brought into Edward Jones then will participate in a retirement transition plan. This program is designed to facilitate the process by assisting with paperwork and legal agreements that govern the transition between the retiring advisor and their successor.
Financial Advisor Transitions consults advisors nationwide to explore employment transition options and to preserve and protect their practice in any transition that they make.
