A pair of former UBS advisors has launched a new independent firm as advisor movement toward the RIA channel continues to accelerate.
According to Wealth Management, Jason Stephens and Mic Lundon have formed Evertern Wealth, a Naples, Florida-based firm supported by Dynasty Financial Partners. The advisors will custody client assets with Goldman Sachs while leveraging Dynasty's technology and operational infrastructure.
Wealth Management also reports broader expansion activity across Dynasty's network. Americana Partners, a Dynasty-affiliated firm, recently acquired NRT Consulting, a financial consulting and accounting business. The acquisition allows Americana to integrate accounting services into its family office platform for both business and personal client needs.
In addition, Cyndeo Wealth Partners, another firm within the Dynasty network, has added a senior advisor who previously managed substantial client assets at Merrill Lynch. The firm continues to grow following a minority investment from Rise Growth Partners.
At the same time, Wealth Management notes that legal tensions persist between Dynasty Financial Partners and Merrill Lynch regarding OpenArc Corporate Advisory, a large RIA that transitioned from the wirehouse model. The dispute centers on arbitration obligations, with each side advancing competing interpretations of prior court rulings.
The developments reflect continued momentum in the independent advisory space, as firms pursue growth through both advisor recruitment and expanded service offerings.
