UBS and Morgan Stanley soon will be coming to a television near you, promoting their divisions that cater to the sports and entertainment industries in order to attract clients.

Last month, UBS launched Long Game in collaboration with PlayersTV. Long Game discusses legacy planning with well-known athletes like Damian Lillard, baseball hall-of-famer Ken Griffey Jr., former No. 1 WNBA pick Nneka Ogwumike, and former NFL player Wale Ogunleye.

UBS's Front Office has been renewed for a second season with host Wale Ogunleye, head of UBS's sports and entertainment division. Front Office follows superstar athletes and their journey to becoming investors. The new season is set to debut on October 25th with a superstar lineup, including 13-time NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade.

In contrast, Morgan Stanley is looking to attract potential wealth business from the entertainment industry, according to FinancialPlainning.com. Morgan Stanley sponsored an advance screening of The Woman King, a historical drama starring Viola Davis (Oscar-winning) as the head of a group of African all-female warriors. Sandra Richards, head of Global Sports & Entertainment at Morgan Stanley, said those events help facilitate insightful conversations between advisors and clients. Morgan Stanley plans to engage diverse audiences by aligning with the lifestyles and values of younger generations that are coming into money and looking for opportunities to market to them.

The wealth industry also is considering new marketing efforts in light of the Supreme Court's decision to allow college athletes to be paid for educational benefits and opportunities like internships and the NCAA's rule change that allows athletes to monetize their name, image, and likeness (NIL).
