Wells Financial Network Has 18 Month Waitlist

March 27th, 2023, 2:00 PM

Wells Fargo Advisors' efforts to promote Wells Financial Network (FiNet), its independent channel, may have proved too successful as 300 brokers have added their names to the transfer pool and created a backlog.

The wait for advisors from Wells Private Client Group (PCG) to join FiNet via internal transfer now extends to 18 months, according to AdvisorHub. FiNet has 1,637 advisors, a 25 percent increase from 1,300 advisors two years ago. According to Wells' marketing material, FiNet makes up 14 percent of Wells' 12,000 advisor headcount.

Sol Gindi, head of Wells Fargo Advisors, shared that the uptick in demand is a trend the firm welcomes. He claims that Wells Private Client Group advisors have found they can access the same support and resources at Wells while receiving a higher payout.
