New Round of Job Cuts At Credit Suisse

June 13th, 2022, 1:25 PM

Credit Suisse is contemplating cutting more jobs as part of the bank's effort to cut costs. The bank currently is considering reducing headcount across divisions such as investment banking and wealth management.

A Credit Suisse spokesperson told InvestmentNews that dismissals are likely to occur close to the end of June, but final numbers have not been decided. Earlier, the bank announced that it expected second-quarter losses at the group-wide level and in its investment bank. Given the current state of the market, executives at Credit Suisse are "accelerating their cost initiatives across the Group intending to maximize savings from 2023 onwards."
