November 24th, 2021, 12:00 AM

According to ThinkAdvisor, Morgan Stanley has created a private-share program that enables wealthy clients to invest directly in privately held companies.

As a growing number of asset managers transition into private investment markets for alternative investments, Ben Huneke, head of Investment Solutions, notes that Morgan Stanley's new "Direct Investment Access Program" will position Morgan Stanley to deliver a differentiated deal flow to clients through several existing businesses at the wirehouse.

Huneke called the Direct Investment Access Program a "first step in uniting these businesses and disciplines to the benefit of our clients." Huneke also pointed out that many clients "are already investors in the segment or are executives of private companies."
