Moody's Investors Services recently has upgraded bonds backed by LPL Financial Holdings to investment grade from junk. Moody's gave LPL's senior unsecured debt a Baa3 rating, up from its previous Ba2 rating.

The improved rating is a result of LPL's consistent execution of a sound business and financial strategy that has contributed to its strong financial profile, according to Moody's. Moody's research note also praised LPL's ability to benefit financially from current rising interest rates.

Moody's expects LPL's financial profile to benefit substantially from rising interest rates, according to AdvisorHub. Moody's research note indicated that LPL's strong competitive position provides additional flexibility to weather cyclical downturns in financial markets and the possibility of lower interest rates in the future.
