Former Wells Fargo Advisors executives launched Ampersand Partners, a hybrid broker-dealer and advisory firm, just two months ago. Since the launch, the firm has actively sought to recruit experienced advisors.
In the latest development, Wendell E. Jones Jr., an advisor with 28 years of experience at Edward D. Jones & Co., officially joined Ampersand on September 22nd in Florence, South Carolina, as confirmed by BrokerCheck. His daughter, Caroline J. Toniolo, has also joined Ampersand, and together, they have named their practice Ensemble Wealth Planning, as indicated on their LinkedIn profiles.
On September 1st, Chong U. Nam and his team transitioned from Wells Fargo's independent Financial Network unit to Ampersand in Henderson, Nevada. This team includes advisor Matthew Inhof and three client associates, and they have established their new practice called Focus Capital Partners Private Wealth, according to AdvisorHub.
Previously, sources reported that Ampersand has been offering bonuses comprising 50% of advisors' trailing-12 months revenue (T-12) as upfront cash, along with $145,000 worth of founders' stock in the new enterprise for every $1 million generated by the advisor.
