The American College of Financial Services is set to launch a new certification program aimed at equipping financial advisors with advanced tax planning skills. According to FinancialPlanning, this initiative comes in response to increasing demand for tax-aware financial advice across various areas including investment management, estate planning, and retirement income planning.
Although full details are pending, the program was informally announced by Jeff Levine, CPA and planner, in a LinkedIn video. Levine, a key architect of the certification, revealed that the new designation, the Tax Planning Certified Professional (TPCP), is designed with insights from several prominent tax experts.
The program is not officially launched yet, but the American College is currently offering discounted pricing for those who join the waitlist. The new TPCP designation aims to address the growing need for advisors to offer tax-savvy services to their clients. FinancialPlanning also reports that over 1,600 advisors have already shown interest in the program, indicating a strong demand for enhanced tax planning expertise.
This certification is expected to feature a comprehensive curriculum developed by leading experts in the field, helping advisors better serve their clients with sophisticated tax strategies.
